When you find a pediatrician, call the office and make an appointment for your child. Walk ins are welcome at Olivero Pediatrics. If this is the first time visiting our location be sure to have your previous pediatrician send over your child’s medical records for review. This will help our staff determine where your child is from a developmental standpoint.

Dr. Olivero is a pediatric hospitalist for Mt. Nittany Hospital. He has full privileges at this facility and is a pediatric doctor for the hospital.
You should meet with a pediatrician before your baby is born so Dr. Olivero can evaluate your health and help you prepare for the birth of your child.
You should visit our facility with your baby within two weeks of their birth. Frequent wellness visits will be needed in that first year so our providers and start various immunization shots to protect your child from preventable diseases.
Some pediatricians do deliver babies. If you have your child at Mt. Nittany Hospital, Dr. Olivero may be the one who provides that service. Other hospitals usually have a pediatrician on staff to assist with the delivery of babies.
You should see your pediatrician within the first two weeks of your baby’s birth. Many pediatricians will want to see them two to three days after they are discharged to make sure their body is functioning correctly. We will work with you to schedule regular checks up to make sure their bodies are developing at the proper rate. These appointments will also include vaccinations for your child as suggested by the CDC.
A pediatrician sees children ages 0 to 21 every day to treat common illnesses, minor injuries, and infectious disease. Many pediatricians will keep track of a child’s immunization schedules to make sure they do not miss a vaccine, or a booster shot.
